by Lizzie Reid
Illustration, design and poetry are the facets that make up Lizzie Lines.
Lizzie has an invested interest in the power of the mind and subconscious which is reflected in her work. She treads a path of self-reflection and self-observation throughout her creative process and always challenges her meticulous nature to plan and control by allowing instinct to over-ride, encouraging a freedom in her mark-making and development. Thus, creating visually poetic stories of her relationship with herself and the world using space, shape and colour.
Lizzie is a huge advocate for the power of self-awareness and the effect our perceptions of ourselves can have on our behaviours and decisions. Her talks and workshops often refer to such lessons and experiences in analogical forms as a means to move forwards and upwards in career and daily life.

Since graduating from London College of Communication, UAL in 2018 with a first class honours in Illustration and Visual Media, Lizzie has been awarded the Cass Art Bursary Prize, represented by Made in Arts London, exhibited at Affordable Art Fair, published poetry with Lungs Project and been selected onto the Sour Lemons Creative Leadership Programme 2020.
